Listening to the Leaves

Pressed leaves embedded into Flex PCB coils, resulting in leaves that act as speakers for actuating sound as well as membranes that dance to the beat of the music.

Sounds produced in electronic speakers are generated by electromagnetic signals. These signals, coupled with the leaves, can produce not only audio vibration but movement. We play with making the leaves sing and dance, sounds sending these leaves in motion, rather than the other way around.
