Chibitronics
Chibitronics is an open hardware company that produces educational toolkits for learning and creating with paper circuits.
I cofounded Chibitronics in 2014 to bring my research in paper electronics to the world in the form of commercial toolkits, free digital resources and creative communities.
Patent Pandas
Patentpandas.org is a friendly legal resource that teaches patent law using panda comics, shares stories from everyday inventors, and connects creators with free legal help.
Despite being an open invention advocate, I ran into issues with patents. This website is my effort to empower independent creators with knowledge and resources on intellectual property and engaging with the legal system.
Hacking Manufacturing & Research@Scale
Hacking Manufacturing and Research@Scale are summer courses that bring together graduate students and factories in collaboration to invent new manufacturing processes and scale projects beyond the lab.
Launched in 2013, I’ve served as co-organizer and instructor of this research initiative at the MIT Media Lab and University of Tokyo.
